Nora's past comes back to haunt her when she returns to the Smith family after a long absence. Her stepsister Miranda and fiancé Aldin conspired against her, leading to a series of unexpected events that result in Nora becoming pregnant with Aldin's child. As fate would have it Nora's life is put on a pyre by Miranda who sets fire to her home but Nora sees an opportunity in the chaos and fakes her own death escaping unscathed.
